Training We Provide

This course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilations with a barrier device, a bag-valve-mask device and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign body airway obstructions.  It’s intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including healthcare providers, first responders, medical or nursing students and even non-medical personnel such as school teachers or church groups. It is designed to be a 4-hour course.

The Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) provides emergency vehicle operators with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate an emergency vehicle in emergency and non-emergency mode. This course is required by the Mississippi Department of Health prior to operating an emergency vehicle.

Firefighting skills training includes volunteer firefighting certification courses, extrication, rope rescue, technical rescue training, emergency medical responder services, blood borne pathogen awareness training and more!

ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents is designed to teach personnel how to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System 

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.
